Branded as a 200 page visual feast, I was really looking forward to this magazine. Unfortunately that's where my excitement ended.

Lets start with the positives.
If, like me, you are a modeler and a painter then you will have no shortage of ideas for great models and paint jobs. With hundreds of images and paint jobs you will not be wanting. You should definitely be adding these to your painting folder as guides.

Even better is on occasion you will even find examples that eclipse the Eavy Metal teams work.

That's about as good as it gets.

There is little or no direction to the magazine. A symptom of letting photographers dictate your magazine. I am a reader and want something to put it in context for me.
Most of the photo's you have already seen in WD Weekly or can see it on the web-store.
It is also a Photo - Overkill!! I find myself bored an disinterested after only a few minutes - there is nothing to engage me for my 7 payment.
Blanchitsu used to be a great article, now it is just the same old same old each issue with no context to support it. What is it trying to tell me?
You buy a magazine of great looking models and then Paint Splatter shows you the quickest and shoddiest method to try and emulate what you see - REALLY?

Seriously - unless you want to build up a decent painting folder of ideas then this really is not going to get you excited. I cancelled my subscription after only 3 issues - it is no replacement for WD Monthly.
